Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details: your email or phone number, display name and the interests you choose.
• Things you post: opinions, comments, community stories and reports.
• Usage limits: a one-way hashed version of your IP address and a random device ID, so we can give one free listen and stop abuse. We don't store your raw IP for this.
• Signups: the name, email or phone you enter in newsletter, stock-pick or business-lead forms.
• Push alerts: the browser subscription needed to send alerts, plus whether alerts were shown or clicked.
• Payments: handled by Nexa Merchant Services. Card numbers go straight to the processor and never touch our servers; we keep only a payment token, plan and status.
• Basic analytics: pages viewed and promo views/clicks, used in aggregate.

How we use it

To run Nexa News, personalize your feed, send the alerts and emails you asked for, process subscriptions, enforce usage limits, keep the service secure, and understand what readers find useful. We don't sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

• Nexa OFS: stock-pick and business-lead signups are forwarded so they can deliver what you signed up for.
• Service providers: hosting and database, payment processing, email/SMS delivery, and AI providers (for summaries, search, translation and voice narration). Story text — not your account details — is sent to AI providers.
• The law: when required, or to protect people and the service.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (like language and interests), store offline stories and limit free usage. We use privacy-friendly analytics. You can clear these in your browser settings; some features may stop working.

Your choices

You can change interests and alerts from your account, turn off push alerts in your browser, unsubscribe from emails using the link in each message, and cancel subscriptions any time. To access, correct or delete your data, email us and we'll respond within 30 days.

Retention and security

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Data is encrypted in transit and protected by access controls.

Children

Nexa News isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
